There was also a lot of talk about the game world being too small, with poor graphics and technology – especially the weird loading. Fallout 4 was a disappointment in some ways, but it was still a decent and successful game, so I find it very strange that the idea of a sequel was not so hinted at.īethesda seems to have been stung by the reviews of Fallout 4, especially the bad story and dialogue, which you get the feeling they were proud of. Bethesda has never mentioned the game or confirmed that Fallout 5 exists, or exists, and there is almost no online chat about where the game is and what it is expected to be. It’s a fact no one talks about, and it seems very strange to me. Although they sometimes do side projects like Fallout 76, Bethesda seems to be only working on one main game at a time, which means there is little chance that Fallout 5 will be released at any time before 2028 – which seems like a long time but actually a little shorter than the gap between The Elder Scrolls 5 and 6.

Starfield will not be out until next Christmas (assuming there are no delays, which is probably not worth it), with Bethesda’s next game following it being The Elder Scrolls 6, which is only expected around 2024 at the earliest. Add some elite-style space trading and star wars, and I imagine that’s what they’re aiming for – and that sounds great to me. We still don’t really know anything about Starfield, but I think the obvious guess, which is actually Skyrim but with a tough science fiction framework, is likely to be accurate.

With the 10th anniversary of the approaching Skyrim, a lot has been talked about Does this justify his classic status (I believe so) and what to expect from Bethesda.
